At Namche for acclimatization (3440 m)
Acclimatization day at Namche Bazar.
We enjoy a rest day here to allow for maximum acclimatization on our way to Everest Base Camp. A pleasant day can be spent exploring the village, talking to the Sherpas and simply enjoying and marveling at the incredible scenery. Needless to say, visiting Sagarmatha National Park, Hotel Everest View, the highest hotel in the world will last long.
Namche Bazar - Thyangboche (3867 m)
Today we walk along a very pleasant trail under the soaring peak to Thamserku and steadily descending to the Imja river where there are a series of water driven prayer wheels. We climb steadily for about 2 hours to Thyangboche Monastery (3875 m) and the views from here are magnificent. The Monastery is literally surrounded by mountains. Yaks graze on the small meadow and the monks drone through their prayers. Surely, this is one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The strenuous walk is about 07 hours.
Thyangboche - Dingboche (4530m)
We move up the Imja river valley to Pangboche (3900m). We stop here for lunch and visit the Monastery and look at the ‘Yeti Sculpt’. In the afternoon, we continue on to the summer village of Dingboche. The scenery all day is superb. We walk about 06 hours.
At Dingboche - acclimatization day
Another rest and acclimatization day at Dingboche. This rest and acclimatization day should give you an excellent chance of ascending Kala Pathar, the Base Camp of the Everest. From these yak herders’ village, there are a number of interesting excursions. A 2 hours walk to the huts at Chukung (4700m) will take you to the glaciers flowing off Nuptse and Lhotse. Overnight halt at the foot of Amadablam.
Dingboche - Lobuche (4930 m)
We walk up a small ridge and then contour around the base of the Khumbu Glacier and have a light lunch at Dhungla (4600 m). From here, we have a short steep climb to the terminal moraine of the glacier from where the views are stunning. A spiritual stop over at Memorial Park, where there are crains, prayer flags, for honouring all the Sherpas and climbers who died attempting to climb Mt. Everest including Scott Fischer
Overnight stay at the foot of the Lobuje Ice Fall (4930m).
Gorakshep (5164 m)- Kala Patthar (5650 m) - Everest Base Camp (5364 m)
Today, we climb Kala Patthar. The actual distance is not so far but we take it very slowly to compensate for the altitude stopping at Gorekh Shep (5288 m) for a light lunch. We then take the climb to Kala Pathar (5650 m). The Everest Base Camp is just down. This is a hard pull but the view from top surpasses anything you can imagine. All around us flow huge glacier ice. The mountains of Pumori (7145 m), Lingtren (6697 m) and Khumbutse (6623 m) separate us from Tibet, and just over the Lho La pass. We see the huge rock of Changtse (7550 m) in Tibet itself. But the queen of them all – Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) towers over everyone. This is the Roof of the World. Weather permitting, we continue to Everest Base Camp which is not hard like Kalapatthar. And, this is the real challenge of Everest. After pretty long but amazing views, we return to Gorakshep for overnight stay.
Gorakshep - Pangboche (3985 m)
We retrace our steps along the glacier to Pheriche (4260 m) and stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we take the lower trail to Pangboche and overnigth stay. It covers almost 07 hours.
Pangboche - Namche (3440 m)
After a cool breakfast, we continue walk towards Tengboche which is bit comfortable after ascent to Kalapatthar and all. We may meet herds of Yaks and local children who are taking special care of daily esentials transport. At Monastery, we can stop over for some meditaion or just enjoy the majestic views of Mt. Amadablam. For sure, climbing down needs to be careful but makes us happy till we enjoy the lunch. Afterwards, there is gradual walk till Namche where we overnight stay after 06 hours journey.
Namche - Lukla (2800 m)
It is a very long day but an exciting day as we are soon going back home. We leave the footfrints on the mountains. Climbing down and gradual uphill till Monjo is breathtaking. Before that, we enjoy a nice lunch at Phakding and some relaxation on own. Pronto, once we reach at Lukla, we are relieved and delighted for this adventure.
Fly Lukla – Kathmandu (1350 m)

We shall spend the day not forgetting a good shower and laundry.
Overnight at the hotel.
